Peace lily
Description
Spathiphyllum wallisii The peace lily is one of the few houseplants that flowers in shade. Its white spathes rise above glossy green foliage, and the plant tells you when it is thirsty: the leaves droop, then lift again an hour after watering. Light: partial shade to light shade — perfect for a dim room. Watering: twice a week in summer, once in winter. It dislikes hard water, so prefer rainwater or water left to stand. Care: remove spent flowers, repot in spring every 2 years. Pets: toxic to cats and dogs (calcium oxalates). Ingestion causes mouth irritation and vomiting — keep it away from pets that chew.
