Pothos 1
Description
Epipremnum aureum Golden pothos is the most forgiving houseplant there is: heart-shaped foliage marbled green and yellow, fast growth, and remarkable tolerance of low light. Trained up a coco pole, it forms a well-filled green column. Light: partial shade to bright filtered light. The more light it gets, the stronger the yellow marbling. Watering: once a week, letting half the compost dry out. It copes very well with being forgotten. Care: pinch the stems to thicken growth; cuttings root in a glass of water within two weeks. Pets: toxic to cats and dogs (calcium oxalates). Trailing stems sit within paw reach — less so on a pole, but keep an eye on new shoots.
