Swiss cheese plant on moss pole
Monstera deliciosa is the graphic houseplant par excellence: its large leaves split and perforate as they mature. Supplied on a coco-fibre moss pole, it climbs and gains volume year after year.
Light: bright but filtered, never harsh direct sun.
Watering: once a week in summer, every 10 to 15 days in winter — let the top 3 cm of compost dry out between waterings.
Care: wipe the leaves with a damp sponge, repot every 2 years.
Pets: please note, the whole plant is toxic to cats and dogs (calcium oxalate crystals). Ingestion causes drooling, mouth irritation and vomiting. Keep out of reach if your pet chews on leaves.
