Bicolour Madagascar dragon tree
Description
Dracaena marginata The Madagascar dragon tree raises slender canes topped with tufts of narrow leaves, green edged with cream yellow. A light, graphic silhouette that fills a corner without weighing it down. Light: bright, filtered. It tolerates partial shade but the variegation fades. Watering: sparing — once a week in summer, once every 3 weeks in winter. This plant dies from drowning far more often than from thirst. Care: sensitive to lime and fluoride, so prefer rainwater. Remove yellowed lower leaves. Pets: toxic to cats and dogs (saponins) — vomiting, drooling and loss of appetite if eaten. The thin leaves are especially attractive to cats.
