A selection of collector species in production pots: Astrophytum flecked with white, woolly Mammillaria, Echinopsis and young columnar cacti. Plants are supplied subject to availability — tell us at checkout if you want a particular species.
Light: full sun or the brightest spot in the house.
Watering: every 3 weeks from April to September, none in winter. The dry winter rest is what triggers spring flowering.
Care: sandy free-draining compost, terracotta pot for preference.
Pets: not toxic to cats and dogs, but the spines — and especially the fine glochids of some species — sting and are hard to pull out of a paw pad. Keep out of reach.
